Busy working on a flash game. Looking back on this page, it's interesting how much I've learned from all these little experiments I did. I blindly jumped into most of them without any sense of direction what-so-ever, but I was able to learn a lot. Now I'm seriously pushing to get a game out so I'm devoting a lot of my time to it. It's exhausting, working on every aspect of a game by myself, especially with my sleep schedule being shifted. As I plan to go commercial with the game project, I won't be releasing any info on it until it reaches beta stages. Look forward to then.
Open Source Projects
Site Menu - This is a navigation menu for a site. I redid the actionscript of some other template so that it would be more flexible and easier to edit. I have no clue where the template originated from.
Experiments
Venus Valkyrie - This was planned to be a mix of RTS and space shooter. It would be a fun game if it weren't so buggy. I might remake it sometime in the future. I've learned a lot since this experiment.
Bunny Bop - I wanted to make a virtual pet simulator. Obviously, me being me, I decided that it shouldn't be any normal virtual pet simulator. It should be one that allows you to breed an army of multi-colored bunnies! It was a huge success. However, I decided to use extremely simplistic games for the bunny training and I never did finish the arena.
Chibi Trix RPS - A rock, paper, scissors game, with a twist! You throw out your signals in real time to deal damage. The real experiment in this one wasn't really the game itself, but rather how it was made. This is my first fully moddable game. By editing the config and image files, you can turn it into an entirely different fighting game.
Bear Board - A monopoly type board game using bears. I just felt like making a board game because I thought it would be easy. I was right. It was easy. Tricks I learned in making this game will prove useful in future endeavors.
RPG Battle System - I wanted to make a sort of real time RPG battle system that could handle multiple characters per team. This was the result. I know they all have the same stats and abilities even though I named them different classes, but I pretty much got all the info I needed from this experiment so this is most likely suspended for good in this form.
Character Creator - This isn't really an experiment. It's a planned module for future games I'll be creating. This needs a lot of optimization. I'm still learning about doing this kind of stuff, but I'd say it ain't too bad as it is now.
Movies
These movies may or may not stream well. It's recommended that you right-click and save them onto your hard drive before viewing.
Stormwind Gates - I uncover the secrets of how to access three hidden places in stormwind. Exploration is part of the fun of having a world to explore.
Aero Break - This is a line rider track that I created. The movie runs for over 11 minutes, which is perhaps the longest recorded line rider track so far, though it does move at a sort of slow speed so it should probably be closer to 8-10 minutes. As you might be able to tell, I like boosts. I also like flight. I also like re-using old parts of the track. This is pretty much me doing whatever I liked. It's quite sad that the save feature at the time messed up your tracks so I couldn't save this one. Maybe I'll make a better one in the future, though I might have jumped the shark with whole space adventure thing.
